About
A Taste Of Texas In Nerja!
When Philip, the founder of Texas Longhorn, moved to Sweden, he started missing his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. A lot.
He longed for the smoke of barbecue, the spicy, slow-cooked dishes, and a place where people could gather to relax, laugh, and enjoy some fantastic Texas barbecue.
Inspired by his family’s recipes, in 1994 he opened his first restaurant on St. Paulsgatan, Stockholm, to recreate everything he’d left behind -for himself and for anyone who wanted to feel at home in Texas.
Today, they’ve opened more than 35 restaurants, including here in Nerja – and Philip can say he’s cured of his homesickness.
Their philosophy…
Southern hospitality, which is the essence of Texas Longhorns, is deeply rooted in the state of Texas.
It’s about seeking the well-being of those around us, creating a sense of comfort without pretentiousness.
Whether at their headquarters, in their collaborative relationships, or in their restaurants, they support one another, and others. That’s at the core of what they’ve achieved so far – and what they aspire to achieve in the future.

“Everything was spectacular in terms of quality and price, and the desserts were amazing: apple pie and chocolate fondue, all delicious. The waiters were super attentive, and Mario in the kitchen was a 10. We’ll definitely be back.” From Tripadvisor
